Documenting principle of saving information is realized in the database. The majority of the files are presented in Russian and in English. The system saves information in formats HTML, MS Word, MS Excel. Large documents are saving in the form of zip-archive and an use can copy them to its computer and look them after unpack. The table of contents and introduction of the “large documents” are available for direct lookup.

The database contains more than 13000 tables and articles the latest information on socio-economic indicators of the CIS countries in the following sections: 
 
- current (monthly and quarterly) data;
- annual data; 
- analytical materials and reports;
- brief results of national censuses;
- methodology of statistics;
- events, news, information;
- other.

There are basic macroeconomic and financial indicators, information on population and employment, income and expenditure of population, data on production of main industrial and agricultural, prices, foreign economic activities of the CIS countries, exchange rates of national currencies, social sphere, etc. 

Updating of the database on web-site is carried out constantly.

Upon the request of a client the database “Statistics of the CIS” can be available on CD.
